Baltimore Sun (04/30/08); Hopkins, Jamie Smith
Fannie Mae President and CEO Daniel Mudd anticipates "some recovery and growth" in the country's residential property market--but not until 2010. Speaking before a business journalism conference in Baltimore, the executive predicted that the rockiness experienced last year will continue through 2008, with a similar climate forecast for 2009. While Mudd was encouraged by improvements in the capital markets of late, he said he would not feel more optimistic about the sector's outlook until he sees evidence of improving sales and price stabilization.
