Acorn Housing Corp. strategic projects director Richard Hayes says the use of Ellie Mae Inc.'s electronic document management services will allow it to automate its foreclosure prevention process to assist more struggling homeowners in a more timely manner. Ellie Mae is donating its professional services to the Association of Community Organization for Reform Now's counseling division, which will customize the vendor's software. Hayes notes that the electronic software also will make the organization more eco-friendly, as it will cut paper usage by up to 1,000 sheets per day.
